Our History

Bell was co-founded in 1986 by our Chairman Pat Curran.

‘Bell Group plc’ was the UK-listed holding company’s name for the businesses from 1999. This became a wholly owned subsidiary of Securitas AB, which acquired Bell Group in 2004.

Securitas floated-off its Security Systems' division (of which Bell was part) as Securitas Systems AB (publ) in September 2006.

In June 2008 Niscayah was adopted as the new name for Bell Security (Ireland) Limited, and its parent, Securitas Systems AB.  Niscayah is an independent company listed on the Swedish Stock Exchange.
