Niscayah has been evaluated as one of the Top 50 Best Workplaces in Ireland, in research undertaken by Great Place to Work Institute® and published in the Irish Independent on 26 February 2009.

Niscayah’s entry into the Top 50 companies is acknowledgement of its ability to attract and retain employees through a combination of benefits, working conditions and company culture as well as its commitment to the personal and professional development of its people.

The research, undertaken by global research and management consultancy the Great Place to Work® Institute, evaluated a “Trust Index” survey of all Niscayah staff. A “Culture Audit” was analysed too, as well as a written submission from Niscayah.

The research encompassed key metrics that determine a leading working environment, from the benefits available to Niscayah staff through to levels of their engagement with management.

Sheenagh McCullagh, HR Manager said: “To have been ranked in the Top 50 Best Workplaces in Ireland is a tremendous endorsement of the overall culture throughout the company and something that everyone at Niscayah should be proud of.

“Even in a challenging and competitive market environment, the workplace is about more than simply working. It is about creating a good environment where communications and support are imperative, taking pride in what you do and also enjoying it”

The Institute’s Best Workplace programme forms part of the world’s largest scheme to recognise excellence in people management. Its philosophy is that a great place to work is one where a company’s people trust those they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people with whom they work.

Cathal Divilly, Managing Director of the Great Place to Work® Institute, said: “The accolade of been recognised as one of the 50 Best Workplaces is an extremely prestigious achievement any year but especially this year given the lower levels of societal trust that prevails.

This recognition highlights the commitment Niscayah has in developing and maintaining a high trust workplace amongst employees and management. Being a 'Best Workplace' is not about been nice to be nice but is about investing in your people to ensure that all important competitive advantage for the business.

Niscayah's high trust levels and strategic people practices highlights how important employees are to the organisation and to their bottom line. This accolade is about commitment to workplace improvement and it is the high trust workplaces that will be in the best position to deal with the more difficult trading times we face.”
