Niscayah Ireland took the Innovation in Security Award at the Irish Security Industry Association Awards on Saturday 26 November 2011.  Niscayah had been shortlisted as one of three companies nominated for the Award along with Jade and G4S.

The award was won for a specific solution for Coillte that was 'innovative'.  The judging panel also looked at innovation in the broader company with particular emphasis on strategy & leadership, culture & climate, planning & selection, structure & performance and communication and collaboration.

The Private Security Authority (PSA) will now most likely not begin licensing of CCTV systems to mid 2011 whereupon those contractors who are installing CCTV systems for security purposes will be required to attain certification of compliance with the CCTV Code of Practice specification document as well as Standard Recommendation 40:2005 (SR 40:2005).
